Hello!  My fiance Alex and I started barefoot running this year, and we thought it would be fun to bang out a 5k.  We live in Ipswich; where do folks list what races are going on?

We just moved here to Ipswich, are there barefooters here on the North Shore?  I have been running for several years now, and ditched the shoes this year; I have been training in VFFs, as well as barefoot.  Alex just started running this year and is doing it right- VFFs and barefoot! No bad habits!

thanks!

Preston Curtis (screen name = Barefoot Runner) is the BRS Massachusetts Chapter President.  Visit the Chapters tab at the top.  Location the MA Chapter and post your questions there.  He will receive an email when you post there and be able to respond.  He, of course, knows the state better than I do.

If you want a particular event added to the National Calendar of Events so all BRS members will see it (including those in MA), go to your chapter, click on the Create Chapter Calendar Event, and enter all pertinent info...OR contact Preston, and ask him to enter.

Thanks for contributing!

Oh, oops!  I was under the impression I was posting to the MA chapter.  I guess it didn't work?  I also couldn't find the MA calendar... I looked.  I'm still learning the site!

thanks!

You can also google Metro Boston Barefoot Runners - there is a meetup group, and many of the barefoot runners in Massachusetts will post events to the event calendar there.

Each state chapter has a forum and a home page.  We will link them together in the future.  For now, it might be best to use the state's forum for general discussions and the state's home page for event postings and comments on those postings.  One of the things we want to add to the site is calendars for each chapter.  Right now, everytime an event is posted in a chapter it populates to the National Calendar of Events for all to see, which is nice, but will soon become out of hand...hopefully.  Smile  Check out the Calendar tab up top.
