Hello and welcome to the Texas Chapter of the Barefoot Runner’s Society. 

 

This is a big and great state and I expect the Texas Chapter to be the same.  I have a lot of plans and ideas to bring the barefoot community all over the state together, but I would love to hear from you too.  If I can help you in your area in any way please feel free to let me know.  In the meantime, make yourself comfortable and I’m glad you’re here. 

 

I am working on organizing clinics, runs, get togethers, and if all goes well maybe some races for all to enjoy.

Esperanza 5K and 1 Mile Race 3/3/2012

It looks like once again I'm competing with a fellow barefooter...sorry.  I've been involved with the Esperanza 5K for the past two years and I'm excited to be there for this year too.  Last year I helped implement a barefoot category and they're doing it again this year!  The winners of both the men's and women's barefoot divisions will win a $50 Luke's Locker gift card.  

The race is also for a great cause:

Running in the Dark in Ft Worth!

I'll be out at this event with the wife. ( http://www.communitystorehouse.org/rid/ )  We plan to register at 4pm and then hang out in Ft Worth, get a bite and run the 5K at 7:45pm.  We did the Firefly in Plano and it was a blast!  If anyone wants to meet us out there, let me know.
