Hi folks, Rodney here, youre VA Chapter Admin. While I think of something witty to fill this space, come on in and have a look around.

Feels like a pull or sprain
I have been running barefoot for about 4 months mow and I am currently up to 4 miles or so - so I am feeling really great about that. Up to now my ca;lves, ankles, and feets have been sore but I could always run. However, for the past 2 weeks its seems that my calves have been revolting against me. The pain feels like I have pulled or strained something while running. It starts about half way throught the run and the pain is in the region where the calve muscule contects to the bone. It has happened in my right leg and now my left leg. I went out yesterda

Passing of the baton, as it were...
Guess I had better say something, eh?
Well, as you can see, I've been added as a group admin. I was approached and asked if I might be interested in a more prominent role in this chapter and said yes before the offer was even complete.
I'm fairly new to barefoot running, but I embrace it and minimalist running whole-heartedly. I'm excited about the movement and am anxious to do whatever I can to promote it.
After work running in DC
Location
Hey everybody, this topic has been touch upon on a few instances but I haven't seen any real traffic on it. For those who work in DC, anyone interested in some after work running? I'm downtown most Mon, Wed, and Fridays - and some Tues and Thursdays. It would be great to get a group of us together to do some running in the coming weeks.
The time changes Mar 13 so we get an extra hour of daylight and the weather should start breaking 'bout that time too.
Anyone interested in establishing a standing after-hours meetup?
Any Southwest VA runners?
I'd love to meet up with anyone in the Blacksburg/Roanoke region for runs, or to trade barefoot-friendly routes!
Bounding along,

IBRD
Alright dudes, what's the dealio here? I'm chompin' at the bit to get this ball rolling. I know IBRD is 10 looonnnnnnng weeks away but it's going to sneak up on us quickly. I'm not looking to spearhead this for our group, but I do want to play an integral part.
Charlottesville Half Marathon
I am contemplating running the upcoming Charlottesville half marathon. For those who have experience--How barefoot (truly barefoot) friendly is it? (e.g., is it all asphalt? Does it have any loose gravel? How is the road quality?) Thanks.
